05   Are There Traces of Hepatophilic Virus in Your Body
–
The Mouth  ?
Pathological changes in the membrane from virus disease is very common and it is particular so with various types of hepatitis viruses, as well as herpes virus, poxvirus and EB virus. Common clinical symptoms are recurrent canker sore, swollen lip membrane and rhagas. The recurrence of the affections will not go unless a case of hepatophilic virus infection is clinically cured with the medication of the Chinese medicine treatment for chronic hepatitis.

* Taste sense becomes dull:

The patient will find his taste sense dull and lose appetite, no matter whether it is a case of acute or chronic hepatitis or hepatocirrhosis. It is confirmed that poor appetite is closely related to abnormally low zinc level in the blood. However clinical medication with systematic Chinese medication in treating patients suffering from acute or chronic hepatitis without intake of zinc preparation produces marked improvement of appetite.
*  Canker sore:

One of the early common symptoms of hepatophilic virus diseases in the digestive system is recurrent aphtha which, together with obstinate furred tongue, glossauxesis, tooth print, tongue cracks, ecchymosis and bad breath, are indications of a patient suffering from dampness and heat in the digestive system. They all show in the mouth and on the lips, such as secondary affection of inflammation of parotid gland and submaxillary gland and sore. Affection of chronic hepatophilic virus often shows recurrent aphthae in early clinical diagnosis.

*  Affection of labial membrane:

Virus affection of the membrane of the mouth and lip is mostly found in hepatophilic virus patients. In the view of traditional Chinese medicine, "the spleen is in charge of muscles and its manifestation is on the lips." When dampness and heat causes ailment of the liver, dampness and heat would accumulate in the stomach and spleen and when heat rises up, it burns out moisture on the skin and membrane resulting in affections in the mouth and on lips. In clinical diagnosis, it appears as partial hydropsy and erosion of the upper or lower lip, coarse membrane, swollen lip crest, depressed lip groove and even rhagas and bleeding, erosion of the corner of the mouth and other abnormal affections.
So there is a clear demarcation line between the normal part of the membrane and the affected area. Generally the inner part of the lip near the gum may show whiteness from erosion and swelling with an uncomfortable feeling while the outer part of the lip membrane is normal. When the affection is active, it is an indication of the activity of chronic hepatitis. Systematic Chinese medical treatment can cure chronic hepatitis and turn the appearance of the labial membrane normal and make the swelling of labial crest subside (with traces left behind).
